5.0 out of 5 stars A Film As Beautiful As The Story Format: Blu-ray I recently saw The Jungle Book in theaters and was blew away by almost every aspect of the film. Overall the story was something I already knew. If you have either read the stories by Rudyard Kipling ro seen the original animated classic done by Disney, you know the overall premise of the story. They stay pretty true to the Disney classic bringing in the songs from the original film and keeping most of the characters and elements of the animated film. Which is what I love, it's amazing seeing these animated movies that I have been watching since childhood in real life with such beautiful graphics and CGI that it is outstanding. The scenes and animals in the movie are beyond my expectations. The CGI for the animals are perfect and look so real that at times when the animals aren't speaking human tongue, it would they could easily be mistaken for real animals, but thankfully PETA isn't in an uproar over this film because they are fake. As for all of the jungle scenes, they are outstanding. I saw the film in 3D on a big screen and everything looked so gorgeous and the colors of the plants and the natural scenery added to the overall beauty of the film. Overall, I would say this is a very worthy adaptation of the classic animated film and of Kipling's stories. The acting done by the boy is very amazing and surprised me very much seeing a little kid making his way to the big screen and playing a role solely by himself and nailing it. And all of the voice acting is perfect for each animal as well, they add so much emotion to the roles and all of the voices were perfectly picked for the film. I would highly recommend this movie especially if you loved the animated film or the stories, they did such a good job bringing this story to life and adding new touches while staying true to the overall premise of the original story. I don't think you will be disappointing in this film and even if you are not a fan of the story, see it for the amazing graphics and scenes. Such an amazing overall.
